A large, oval-shaped room, the bridge of the new Federation flagship was a well lit, clean design featuring an unprecedented 18 control stations. The center of the room had a large, unified console for the flight control and navigation stations, with the command chair placed behind it. Flanking the chair were large vertical glass panels, which could be interacted with and used for direct computer access. The multiple science and communications stations were placed alongside the back wall, while the sides featured multiple secondary and support stations.
