The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 was built in shipyards located in Iowa. It was under the command of Captain Christopher Pike in 2258 before command was transferred to Captain James T. Kirk following the previous commander’s incapacitation. The ship was destroyed at the Battle of Altamid in 2263.

U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge | Deck 1 (Kelvin Timeline, 2263)

A large, oval-shaped room, the bridge of the new Federation flagship was a well lit, clean design featuring an unprecedented 18 control stations. The center of the room had a large, unified console for the flight control and navigation stations, with the command chair placed behind it. Flanking the chair were large vertical glass panels, which could be interacted with and used for direct computer access. The multiple science and communications stations were placed alongside the back wall, while the sides featured multiple secondary and support stations.  Escape pod access was added to the bridge sometime prior to 2263.

The Kelvin-timeline U.S.S. Enterprise was designed by production designer Scott Chambliss and his art department. The digital model was created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).

Evolving further from its appearance in Star Trek Into Darkness, the Beyond bridge omitted the ceiling dome that was present in prior configurations and featured adjusted lighting, including blue underlighting, as well as escape pod access in place of the consoles that were previously adjacent to the viewscreen. These escape pods were added for use in the shipwide evacuation during the Battle of Altamid.
