U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-75567 (2380)
The U.S.S. Cerritos was a California-class Federation starship, registry number NCC-75567, operational during the 24th century under the command of Captain Carol Freeman. Officially tasked with diplomatic and engineering support for second contact scenarios, the Cerritos and its crew nevertheless distinguished themselves during a wide range of Starfleet missions. In late 2380, the Cerritos sustained major structural and systems damage in an encounter with a hostile Pakled ship.
U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-75567 Bridge | Deck 2 (2380)
Mission and vehicle operations of the California-class starship Cerritos were managed from the main bridge, located on Deck 2 of the ship’s saucer module. Like most contemporary Starfleet vessels, the Cerritos employed the Library Computer Access and Retrieval System (LCARS) as the primary software for all ship operations. The standard California-class bridge module was somewhat simplified, compared to the bridge found on most Galaxy-class vessels, but it proved more than capable, even when the ship operated under extreme circumstances.

The U.S.S. Cerritos design reflects 24th-century Starfleet technology and design, but was intended to be less sophisticated and less capable than the Galaxy-class starship featured on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Nevertheless, the producers of Star Trek: Lower Decks called for the ship to be fully equipped for a wide range of missions, to accommodate a wide range of episodic storylines.

As with the U.S.S. Cerritos itself, the California-class starship bridge was designed to be strongly reminiscent of 24th-century Starfleet technology and design, while suggesting a somewhat less-capable ship. Part of this was due to the premise of Star Trek: Lower Decks, that the Cerritos was not a first-line vessel, but this was also partially a result of the simplified rendering style used in the show’s animation.
